The December light has been so beautiful. This year instead of trying to photograph it, I just let the light was over me, selfishly. Here is one of the few pictures I took. I love how December light brightens everything it touches, even a chain link fence.
It glints off of metal in the distance. This is one of my favorite things about December light, but it is very hard to capture.
This rusty door caught the gleam a little.
The days are now a few minutes longer, the young sun is shining briefly and bright.

The Subway Outside
I love when the subway comes out of its tunnel. The car is filled with light and a view appears. I really like the trains that ride over the Manhattan Bridge. There is often scratchitti on the windows. I love the way the scratched window alters the view.
The Williamsburg Bridge is in the distance gleaming in the December light. It was one of those icy cold days. There was a lot of wind blowing huge clouds around.
