Rude Return

The weather last week erased any doubt that summer was over. It was miserable and rainy, threatening to be cold and then just getting humid and oppressive.

Towards the end of the week there was wind as well, blowing leaves and branches to the ground where they resembled dustbunnies escaping from behind the dresser.

Shimmering in the storm, I found this tagged mural. I have mixed feelings about people tagging street art. The original mural looks pretty cool.

But I do like the contrast of the sharp edged tag with its dimensional shading floating over the soft focus landscape.


The rainy weather has been punctuated by brief visits from the sun. The light is always the most beautiful just before the sun slips behind the clouds.
